WATERWATCH FACILITATOR
Waterwatch is a community monitoring program that assists the community to implement water monitoring to raise awareness of water quality issues and facilitates on-ground actions that leads to the improvement of our waterways.
An opportunity exists for an enterprising individual with experience in science based education, natural resource management or water quality monitoring to assist with the facilitation of the North East Waterwatch program within Primary and Secondary schools in the North East and within the broader community.
The successful applicant must have excellent communication, organisational and computer skills hold current drivers and be able to demonstrate the ability to participate in community education and awareness events. A basic knowledge of water quality, natural resource management and community monitoring would be an advantage.
The position is full time and classified Band 5 under the North East Catchment Management Authority Certified Agreement 2005. This equates to a salary range of $ 39,454 to $ 45,073
