Healthy Dads and child Development Camp
Good Morning Could you please circulate the Healthy Dads and Child Development Camp through your distribution list? Families NSW and the Aboriginal Child Youth and Family strategy are conducting a Healthy dads and child development camp at Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre starting lunch time 14th November and finishing on Sunday 16th November. The program is to provide basic information regarding key access points for men's health and child's development regarding key milestones. The camp is open to Indigenous and non-Indigenous fathers, carers or fathers to be of children 0-8, (we can be flexible regarding age) if you are aware of any fathers, carers or fathers to be that may benefit from the camp they are most welcome to attend. Below is some basic information regarding the Healthy Dads and Child Development Camp Overview of Healthy Dads and Child Development Camp The Healthy Dads and Child Development camp aims to strengthen the connections between fathers, carers, children and partners to increase shared understandings of age appropriate requirements for their child’s early learning development needs “especially for the first three years of a child’s life” The camp will provide professional presenters to increase the knowledge and understanding of the importance of the role fathers play in the early development of a child’s life by strengthening fathers skills and knowledge in areas such as;What will give our babies the best start in life? What will give our children the best start at school? What will keep our kids at school and learning well? What will help / assist parents and communities to raise healthy strong babies, children and young people 0-8 yrs?
